Shannon is passionate about supporting children and families in pursuing joy and skill development. She graduated from St. Ambrose University, earning her BA in Psychology and her Master's in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in a wide variety of settings, including clinic-based, therapeutic day schools, and daycare/school settings.
In her therapy sessions and training, she prioritizes a client-centered and neurodiversity affirming approach while encouraging family involvement and support. Sessions typically focus on regulation, sensory-motor skills, social skills, executive function skills, visual-perception, and coordination. She is certified in DIRFloortime and the SOS approach to feeding.
In her free time, Shannon enjoys running, soccer, baking, and spending time with her family.
